Our Head of GO Cards Cédric and his team are looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer to join our Stockholm office. This role is ideal for someone experienced who wants to deliver real impact today while preparing to take on more responsibility in the future.

What you’ll do at Nexus

You will join Nexus GO Cards team, our online service that lets customers order secure and customized identity cards (smart cards), key fobs, and accessories. Customers can order via our card management portal or integrate directly through our APIs.

In this role, you will:

• Focus on backend development, with responsibility for services, databases, and system integrations.
• Develop, improve, and maintain services with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Select and use technologies based on problem-solving value, not trendiness.
• Ensure that deliveries are on time and secure, always balancing speed with quality.
• Collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders, enabling fast and sustainable delivery.
• Over time, take a leading role in driving improvements in both technology and ways of working.

• Highly experienced in backend Java development and proficient with Azure.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Java backend development is required.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps is a must.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot and modern development practices is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Microservices and integrations is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cybersecurity knowledge.
