What you’ll do at Nexus

In the area of IT-Security and Identity Management reliability and software quality is key for our customers. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will will work with our SmartID Identity Manager component to enhance, optimize and automate our testing in cloud and on-premises scenarios.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• You will primarily be the Quality Assurance Engineer within the team.
• You will serve as a quality architect in the cloud transition.
• You will help drive the DevOps mentality and enable the team to become more DevSecOps-oriented.
• You will work closely with customers, facilitating direct contact with internal and external stakeholders.
• You will contribute to interesting feature development activities from the quality point of view.

Some of our Tech Stack: Docker, Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript, Testautomation, Selenium.

About you

• You are an effective communicator, able to convey ideas clearly and engage with both internal and external stakeholders
• You have strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and finding solutions
• You are able to foster teamwork and build positive relationships to achieve common objectives
• You are able to quickly adjust to changes and challenges, ensuring continued effectiveness in your role
• You are a solution driven and pragmatic worker

Qualifications

• You are experienced in testing/verification of server and/or client applications.
• You are experienced in test automation.
• You posses expertise in writing automated tests using the language of your choice like Java, JavaScript, etc.
• You know to work with Azure cloud, Docker.
• You posses academic education in engineering, specializing in Computers or equivalent.
• You are experienced in load and performance testing of high-volume critical systems.
  
• You have knowledge and understanding of public- and private- cloud, related technologies e.g. Docker, Azure, Kubernetes.

To thrive in this role you should enjoy being a passionate defender of the DevOps mindset. You like sharing your ideas and inspiring people around you. You have at least 3-5 years of experience with software testing.  

Good to have: knowledge of Gradle, GIT, ReST.  

If you also have experience in security, that’s great, however, we at least expect strong interest and willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who can take ownership and work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues!
