At Nexus, we secure the new society that emerges in the ever-expanding world of digital transformation. By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing cutting-edge technology for high demanding global clients. Nexus’ Smart ID solutions and IoT platforms are revolutionizing how we perceive trusted identities. Do you want to be a part of our journey?
Nexus, a part of the French IN Groupe, is a European leader and innovative identity management company. We secure society by enabling trusted identities for people and things. With 300 employees, some would consider us a smaller company, but we have the privilege to protect the workforce and IoT solutions for world- class customers.
Our legal team is now looking to strengthen the team with a talented Data Protection Officer (DPO) with very good German language skills, to join us either in Berlin, Ettlingen or Stockholm. If you are located in Stockholm you will travel to our German offices on a regular basis. You need to have a law degree (LL.M) from a German university.
What will you be doing at Nexus
You will be the DPO for the Nexus Group and work in our legal team but be our responsible contact person for all GDPR matters. This will include tasks such as reviewing privacy-related agreements, creating and delivering training of employees, and setting up policies. You will also report to the local authorities if needed.
Further on you will have an important role in supporting Nexus General Counsel to whom you will directly report to. This could include support with German commercial contract law. For example, you help our sales colleagues to review contracts, and prepare various types of commercial agreements.
We offer you an opportunity to develop your legal skills and grow as a lawyer in an international sales driven environment. You will have your own areas of responsibilities and the chance to take on further responsibilities during the course of the employment. You have direct customer contact and get to negotiate contracts.
- For this role you need to have a law degree (LL.M) from a German university.
- You also must have excellent German and English language skills.
- For this role, you should have worked some years as a lawyer with GDPR / privacy, either in-house or at a law firm.
- If you also some experience with German commercial contract law, that's a plus.
- You know that business life (as life in general) is full of legal risks and potential problems, but you try to see a solution or have a pragmatic hands-on approach for the challenges you come across.
