In the ever-expanding world of digital identities, we secure the new society that emerges. Nexus’ Smart ID solutions and IoT platforms are transforming how we perceive trusted identities. That journey continues with our awesome engineering teams. We are looking to strengthen our team with a highly skilled and motivated C++/C# developer.
Who doesn’t want to be part of a winning team? Our Prague team is constantly talked about internally as one of our role model teams, highly skilled, tight knitted and customer centric. Now you have a rare opportunity to join this group.
Martin Nepivoda, head of our Smart ID Desktop team, is looking for a developer to join us in our Prague location.
What will you be doing at Nexus?
You will join us during a transformative period as we are in the middle of upgrading our platforms and their middleware. And you will of course be part of that journey.
Our Smart ID Desktop application is used by tens of thousands of people every day and what you do will make a difference for all these end-users. You will work with both middleware as well as the desktop application.
As the ad title tells you, we are looking for a C++/C# developer and we want someone who is a really good team player. As stated, we are a small and very tight knit team, so it’s important you like to contribute to the teams day-to-day like stand-ups, pair and mob development sessions, helping organize the team in order to solve complex user stories, and setting up concept discussions. At the same time, you will have a high degree of freedom and you need to be comfortable driving your own stories as well. Martin is not the kind of boss that will breath down your neck and micromanage.
Part of this role is customer contact, via support in implementation projects and post-implementation support (bug fixes etc.).
Example of things we use are
Application: C#, C++, .NET, UWP
Tools: GIT, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Azure DevOps Pipelines
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in developing applications and middleware. You enjoy working in an open team and you firmly believe that cooperation and teamwork is the way to succeed. Continuous improvement, working closely together and discussion is the way to learn from each other.
You are a passionate defender of the DevOps mindset and you don’t have any issues sharing your ideas and inspiring people around you.
If you also have experience in security, that’s great, however we at least expect a strong interest and willingness to learn! To be unhindered in English is a must for this position. Nexus is a global player and you need to be able to communicate with colleagues and clients around the world.
PS; At Nexus we do things a bit different, and we care more about who you are and the skills you bring, than exactly what you have done before. Therefore, tests are an important part of our recruitment process (more so than the perfect resume) and you will be asked to take several short (and some a bit longer) tests during this process. You will receive more information down the line and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
